How to avoid frost in transport refrigeration units?
Although transport refrigeration units has its own automatic hot air defrosting function, but when not used properly, it will still cause the refrigeration unit frosting. Frosting of the compressor of the refrigeration unit will be a "critical strike" to the compressor, and will reduce the effect of refrigeration. How to avoid frosting of the refrigeration unit?
1. Large or small amount of refrigerant charge. Too much will lead to higher condensation pressure, the flow into the evaporator will increase. The liquid cannot be completely gasified, and the compressor sucks in liquid containing refrigerant. As a result, the temperature of the return gas pipe decreases, but the evaporator temperature remains unchanged due to the pressure rise, and the superheat decreases. Too little refrigerant will go all the way from the evaporator to the compressor. So refrigerant charge is definitely a technical work!
2. Expansion valve. Expansion valve opening degree increases, resulting in excessive liquid supply. The reasons for this are as following: the binding of the heat-sensing element is too loose, the lifting area of the return pipe is small, or the heat-sensing element is not wrapped with insulation material, or the wrapping position is wrong.
3. External causes cause the refrigerant in the evaporator to evaporate inadequately, or even not evaporate, which lead to severe frost. (example: insufficient return air, low exhaust temperature)
The above three points are the main reasons for frost in transport refrigeration units. Therefore, if you have frost problems, please check these three points first. If there is any problem, please contact the customer service of Corunclima in time. We will solve your problem for you.
