How to choose a transport refrigeration unit

The transport refrigeration unit is the main refrigeration equipment for refrigerated trucks. The quality of the refrigeration unit often affects the service life and fuel consumption of the refrigerated truck. Therefore, as a user who wants to buy a refrigerated truck, it is necessary to understand the basic knowledge of some refrigerated trucks. Today, we will introduce three common refrigerated truck transport refrigeration units.

According to the cooling power, the transport refrigeration unit can be roughly divided into three types: non-independent small transport refrigeration unit, independent neutral transport refrigeration unit, and large trailer transport refrigeration unit. The biggest difference between the three is the difference in cooling power, but in addition to the difference in cooling power, the three chiller units are also very different in structure.

Small refrigerator: non-independent unit

A non-independent transport refrigeration unit refers to a transport refrigeration unit that cannot work independently. This unit does not have a power unit itself, and it needs to rely on the engine of the refrigerated truck to drive the compressor. The cooling power of non-independent units is generally small, and is generally applied to small refrigerated trucks such as MPV, VAN, and light trucks.

Since the non-independent transport refrigeration unit has no power source itself, when the refrigerated truck engine stops, the non-independent transport refrigeration unit loses power support and stops working. Especially in the summer, when the refrigerated truck is turned off, the door is frequently opened, and the cargo in the compartment is easily damaged.
