1. Keep warm and clean the battery
The first problem in winter is of course to keep warm. At this time, we must pay more attention to the battery. The battery is very sensitive to low temperatures. In a low temperature environment, the capacitance of the battery is much lower than that at room temperature. If the vehicle has not been used in the open air or garage for several weeks, the battery should be taken out and stored in a relatively warm room to prevent damage to the battery. When cleaning, check whether there is green oxide on the electrode terminals of the battery to prevent the resistance from increasing and make the battery in a state of power failure. Therefore, special grease should be applied to the terminals for protection.
2. Check the brakes
It is easy to freeze on the road in winter, so braking is very important. Check whether the brake fluid is sufficient, whether the quality is poor, whether the brake is weakened, whether the brake pedal is depressed, and the position of the wheel lock point during braking.
In fact, the maintenance of the brake system requires more attention from the truck owner during normal driving. If there is any abnormal change, immediately go to the repair shop for repair. If necessary, clean the pipeline part of the entire brake system. 3. Pay attention to rust prevention and protect the chassis
For the maintenance of the chassis, the first step is to thoroughly clean the chassis. The second step is to perform anti-rust treatment on the chassis. Currently, the most effective method is to install chassis armor. The surface of the chassis is sprayed with special elastic rubber material to prevent rust, wear, shock and noise. This is like adding a layer of solid armor to the chassis, which can play a very good protective effect.
4. Pay attention to the line of sight and always check the lights
The causes of car accidents in winter are fog and frost. This kind of climate will cause low visibility while driving and many rear-end collisions. Therefore, whether the fog lights and high-position brake lights work normally is directly related to driving safety in winter.
The light inspection mainly includes fog lights, headlights, high-position brake lights, etc. Once a dark bulb is found, it should be replaced as soon as possible. After two years of use of ordinary halogen headlamps, the light will diminish. If you want to modify xenon headlights, the color temperature should be between 5000-6000k, because the higher the color temperature, the lower the light penetration in dense fog, and the greater the safety hazard.
5. Pay attention to the wiper
The wiper can not only remove frost and snow from the windshield in winter, but also clean the glass after snow. Generally speaking, wiper rubber needs to be replaced once a year, especially before winter. If you go out in the morning and find that the windshield wiper is stuck to the windshield by snow, do not wash it directly with hot water, which may cause the car window to burst. In addition, although the glass cleaner used in winter will be significantly less than in other seasons, its role cannot be ignored. It should be noted that the cleaning agent should be replaced with an antifreeze type in time to keep it below -30 degrees Celsius or even below -30 degrees Celsius.
6. The lubrication system is different in winter and summer
In summer, due to the high temperature and good fluidity of the oil, the engine uses high-viscosity oil to ensure proper consistency and effectively achieve the lubrication effect.
