2. Panel thickness
The panel thickness of the truck body also matter for the cooling effect, as you can image, a ticker panel usually have better effect to keep the body cool. If you are looking for a refrigeration system to provide temperature under 0°C, the panel thickness greater than 10cm.
3. A separate diesel engine unit?
It is a better choice to adapt a diesel engine refrigeration unit, if you have long truck body bigger than 6 meter.It will be more stable, more powerful, and also keep running as you need no matter the truck engine is on or off. Of course it is more expensive, and more fuel cost, heavier. When you are choosing a Diesel unit, the engine and compressor is the core configuration, a unit with Yanmar engine or Bock compressor will be the best choice, because they are most common and have most stable performance in the market.
4. A standby power configuration
If the budget is allowed, a standby power configuration is strongly recommended, in fact many brands of truck unit are equipped with a standby unit. It allows you stop the engine which drives the unit, and you can plug the unit in a main 220V power. This will save a great mount of fuel for you.
